Counselling can help. We can help.
Whether it’s general day-to-day stresses or something more serious like bereavement, sometimes life can get a bit much. Sometimes we get on with life and keep going, but sometimes we may need a bit of help to understand our problems, feelings and emotional responses when we can’t see a way out or can’t see things changing.
Counselling allows a person to talk about their feelings and problems in a private and confidential environment with an experienced and trained professional.
A counsellor is trained to listen with empathy (by putting themselves in your shoes). They can help you to see things more clearly and possibly from a different perspective. They can help you deal with any negative thoughts and feelings you have.
The counsellor will not tell you what to do, but through your time together will help you unpick things and make the right decisions for yourself, and identify strategies and solutions that enable you to turn things around and regain happiness and control in life.
Counselling is a way of enabling choice, change, or of reducing confusion.
Counselling is driven by your intention and no one else’s. No one can be sent for Counselling, it must always be at your (the client’s) request, or if advised by a third party, you must agree to it.
